    I experienced this steep bank once… it was like flying a fighter jet.
    sadly the second time I flew to HK, they took the other direction and it was an uneventful touch down.

    Where a fantastic “air shows” happened everyday! The famous “checker board” turns,then final,looking in apartment windows,as you passed. Closed in ’99, it was one of the safest in the world.

    It turns like that because of the runway location and Kai Tak is closed now. All planes that went to Kai Tak had to do that not just MAS.
