How secure are mobile banking apps on smartphones?

I’m interested in installing mobile banking apps on my blackberry to access my bank accounts, but I’m concerned with security.

It’s about as secure as doing banking on your computer. Maybe even more so, because if your computer is infected with malware or a virus, your data could still be stolen even if the connection to the bank is secure.
